Position Overview

Job Summary



The Senior Accountant is responsible for handling end-to-end accounting and financial operations for real estate
projects at Oraiyan Group. The role includes maintaining books of accounts, managing statutory and tax compliance,
overseeing vendor and contractor payments, and preparing project-wise financial reports. The Senior Accountant
ensures accurate financial records, timely closures, compliance with statutory requirements, and effective
coordination with internal departments and external auditors.



Key Responsibilities



Accounting & Financial Operations



  • Maintain complete books of accounts including GL, AP, AR, bank, and cash books.

  • Handle day-to-day accounting entries and ensure accuracy as per accounting standards.

  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account closures.

  • Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, customer ledgers, and intercompany balances.



Real Estate Project Accounting



  • Maintain project-wise cost tracking, budgets, and expense allocation.

  • Monitor construction costs, land costs, marketing expenses, and overheads.

  • Support revenue recognition as per project milestones and company policy.

  • Prepare project-wise profitability and MIS reports.



Statutory Compliance & Taxation



  • Handle GST compliance including returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B), reconciliations, and audits.

  • Manage TDS deductions, payments, and returns (Form 26Q, 24Q).

  • Ensure compliance with Income Tax, PF, ESI, Professional Tax, and other statutory requirements.

  • Coordinate with auditors and consultants for statutory and tax audits.



Vendor & Payment Management



  • Verify vendor invoices, contractor bills, and service bills against approvals and contracts.

  • Process timely payments to vendors, contractors, and consultants.

  • Maintain proper documentation for all payments and statutory filings.



Reporting & MIS



  • Prepare monthly MIS reports including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and variance analysis.

  • Support management with financial insights and cost control measures.

  • Maintain audit-ready records and documentation.



Coordination & Controls



  • Coordinate with procurement, stores, CRM, legal, and project teams for financial data.

  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, company policies, and approval matrices.

  • Assist in process improvement and system implementation (ERP/accounting software).



Required Skills & Competencies



  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and real estate project accounting.

  • Hands-on experience in GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (Tally / ERP) and MS Excel.

  • Experience in MIS reporting and reconciliations.

  • Good analytical, coordination, and communication skills.

  • High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

  • Ability to handle multiple projects and work independently.



Educational Qualification



B.Com / M.Com / equivalent qualification.

Additional certification in accounting or taxation is an advantage.



Experience Requirement



4 to 5 years of relevant experience as an Accountant / Senior Accountant.

Mandatory experience in real estate or construction industry.
